Record-Breaking Snowfall!

Just a quick post to share... we did it, finally! We broke the seasonal snowfall record in Anchorage. It was looking iffy with a dry March, but then April 7th rolled around and we got this awesome snowfall.

This snowfall brought us to 134.5 inches for the season. It was awesome to be out walking in it... if I didn't have a calendar around, you could have convinced me it was February or March for sure.

Some other photos from that snowy walk in the woods...

Driving into Bicentennial Park

Very spring-looking with the open water.

And this marks the end of the snowfall in Anchorage for the 2011-2012 season. Now it will all melt... and in a month or so, things will begin greening up. Crazy to think when looking at these photos! 'Til next time...
